Shhhh....

It is quiet here this morning.  I am feeling a little foggy headed because I stayed up late reading some great escapist novel.  Hubby and the wee one just loaded up in the car for a big dude/little dude road trip down to Windsor for a VW Micro bus muster.  Teen is with his dad this weekend.

This leaves me alone with myself and I. Oh and the cats and dog...

I was going to spend some time outside in the garden, perhaps mow the lawn. But it is pretty foggy outside and the bugs are a little pesky.  The big green sweater beckons me too.   I will work on this to the point where I can; before taking it to my client for a fitting. So I can also work on some non-work knitting.

I might finish the novel so I can get a good night's sleep tonight...

Or I might just take a nap:)

How do you spend time for yourself?

I like to take time for myself to spin on the front porch and listen to music. Just a quiet time for me.

time for myself??? I get time for myself on my ride to work and back. If I REALLY want to be alone, I take the bike, then I can't get phone calls either!

The same things you mentioned: mowing the lawn, hanging out in the garden, doing laundry, cleaning house ... and reading! With a cup of hot tea (or iced tea depending on the weather :).

But my "alone" time is usually late at night when everyone else is in bed, and then, I'm usually too sleepy to do much ..., and I'm not sure about mowing the lawn by moonlight ;). I do a poor enough job when I can see what I'm doing (*grin*).

I get up extra early in the mornings.. either around 4 or 5 am and if the weather is nice I sit out on the deck and relax while watching the sky light up and the birds start to sing.
